Military Veterans & Soldiers

We Appreciate Our Military!

Here at Blanton’s, we’re very thankful for our military and the sacrifices our soldiers make. It is an honor to be a part of Fayetteville’s thriving military community and to employ military veterans who enrich our team with their skills, commitment and service values.

    Gary

Ten-year team member Gary Sellers began his career with Blanton’s as a system installer and now serves as the company’s installation manager. With 22 total years of HVAC experience under his belt, he ensures that our clients’ heating, cooling and indoor air quality systems are properly installed.

“When purchasing new HVAC equipment, it is important to hire someone who knows what they are doing so you get what you pay for,” says Gary. “Some companies throw equipment in there without ensuring that the duct design and system size is appropriate for your house. The same unit that would work well in your house might not be the best solution for your neighbor.”

Just as important as quality installation is superior follow-through and post-sales support. “Our clients never have a problem reaching us if they have a concern, and we take care of equipment issues promptly and efficiently,” says Gary. “We stand behind our work 100 percent, every time.”

When Gary isn’t interfacing with clients and managing system installations, he enjoys cooking, trying new recipes and spending time with his grandchildren.

    Military Experience & Education:

    • Army veteran: served from 1992-1995
    • Stationed at Fort Bragg
    • Member of Airborne Infantry Co 3/505
  • Service Manager

    Larry

Larry is a trained and experienced HVACR technician who began his career with Quality Service International. Shortly after, he started his own business doing seasonal system maintenance for Seymour Johnson AFB. When the maintenance contract came to an end, Larry sought out a position with the Blanton’s team. As one of our newest team members, he is responsible for managing all types of heating and cooling repairs and seasonal maintenance tune-ups.

“Blanton’s is a family-oriented company that really cares about their customers,” says Larry. “Our image is based upon the reputation we have earned, because we really do care.”

When he isn’t providing Fayetteville HVAC service to our valued clients, Larry relaxes, vacations with family, spends time outside and enjoys riding his motorcycle. “I have a large family. I’m married with six kids and a dog, and that keeps me busy.”

    Military Experience & Education:

    • U.S. Air Force veteran who joined at age 17
    • Worked as an aerospace ground equipment mechanic for 14 years before leaving the USAF
    • Completed HVACR training at Wayne Community College, in Goldsboro, NC
  • Install/Service

    Steven

Steven is no stranger to facing a challenge. After joining the Army in 2005 as an infantryman, Steven advanced through the ranks and led patrols through combat situations. Upon ending his service, Steven sought a job that would provide the hands-on, stimulating environment that he valued in the military. That’s when Steven came across Blanton’s Heating & Air.

In February 2016, Steven officially joined the Blanton’s family as a member of our Install/Service team. Fully accustomed to navigating his way through demanding situations, Steven has already gained confidence in his abilities to quickly diagnose a unit and then make the right repair. Above all else, Steven enjoys being the guy that homeowners can count on to fully restore their
    comfort.

Looking back to his experience in the military, Steven acknowledges that, “The military did more for me than just the typical, ‘show up to work at the right time, place and uniform.’ For me, the military taught me about honor and how to take pride in what you do.”

Outside of work, Steven enjoys spending time with his fianceé, Sydnei and his daughter. Currently, he is enrolled at FTCC, where he’s completing two programs simultaneously: Air Conditioning, Heating & Refrigeration Technology, and General Education. Upon graduation, Steven hopes to spend his free time riding his Harley-Davidson Cruiser, skiing and camping with his family

    Military Experience & Education:

    • Enlisted in active duty Army in 2005 as an infantryman, trained with the South Korean Army, and then served in Bagdad, Iraq
    • Re-enlisted to Fort Bragg, NC. Served for 8 years as an infantryman and recon soldier in Afghanistan who led fellow soldiers in combat situations
    • Completed service in Fort Bragg, belonging to Alpha Company, 1-508th Parachute Infantry Regiment
  • HVAC Maintenance Technician

    James

James has always wanted to work with the very best. Beginning his military career as a personnel administrator for the Marine Corps, James continued into the U.S. Army in this same role. From there, he was accepted into flight school and trained to fly UH-60A/L Black Hawk helicopters.

Reflecting back on his service, James notes that, “My military experience prepared me for all contingencies by deeply instilling a never-give-up attitude and teaching me techniques to learn anything quickly.” Fast forward several years and James’ perseverance and discipline now make him a valued asset at Blanton’s Air, Plumbing & Electric.

Originally from Phoenix, AZ, James completed the BuildATech® course in Dallas, TX. After moving to the Fayetteville area in September 2011, James knew exactly what he was looking for in a career. Accustomed to serving as an elite in the military, James was searching for a company that commanded top value and respect—and that’s when he came across Blanton’s Heating, Air & Electric.
Joining our team as a maintenance technician, James has demonstrated exemplary commitment and enthusiasm in his role. Thoroughly evaluating and cleaning homeowners’ systems, James finds fulfillment in his ability to help our local community. Even more, he enjoys teaching clients how their systems work and then passing along some helpful tips and tricks.

When he’s not fine-tuning HVAC equipment, James spends his spare time collecting Funko Pop toys with his son, Arthur James. He also enjoys learning new things, most recently long-range shooting and playing the piano.

  • Client Service

    Stephanie

Stephanie has been with Blanton’s since April 2014. Prior to working with our team, she was a medic in the U.S. Army.

“I absolutely love working here and I’m lucky to be part of this awesome team,” Stephanie says. “Blanton’s is a winner in my book because, in addition to being a leader in this industry, they take time to help in the community. I have never been with a company that will go so far above the rest to keep their customers happy.”

Most of Stephanie’s free time is devoted to physical fitness: biking, jogging or working out. In addition, she enjoys reading and cooking.

When asked to describe herself, Stephanie jokingly responds: “I am a woman of mystery and power, whose power is exceeded only by her mystery.”

    Military Experience & Education:

    • Enlisted in active duty Army in 2009
    • Trained as a combat medic
    • Stationed in Germany, where she worked in OB/GYN unit
